A beautiful Pendant handmade by the artisans of Peru. This large inlaid stone pendant features the center "Chakana” and then is surrounded by a circle of symbols of elements, sun, moon and mountains. The Pendant is intricately inlaid by hand, with segments of natural Chrysocolla often called Peruvian Turquoise, Purple and Orange Spiny Oyster, a shell from the Peruvian coasts, and Sodalite. The Andean Cross Symbol referred to as “Chakana” similar to the “Tree of Life”, and is a sacred symbol of the ancient Inca civilization. It represents the four corners of the Inca World, the four directions and the four organizing principles of the universe. The Open design creates an elegant look and measures 1.9” in length. The bale is 3mm in its opening and looks great both on beads or silver chains.
