A beautiful Pendant handmade by the artisans of Peru.  This large inlaid stone pendant features the center "Chakana” and then is surrounded by a circle of inlaid motifs and symbols that represent the elements and the four directions. The Pendant is intricately inlaid by hand, with segments of natural Chrysocolla often called Peruvian Turquoise, Purple and Orange Spiny Oyster, a shell from the Peruvian coasts, Abalone, Coral, Mother of Pearl, and Sodalite.  The Andean Cross Symbol referred to as “Chakana” is similar to the “Tree of Life”, and is a sacred symbol of the ancient Inca civilization.  It represents the four corners of the Inca World, the four directions and the four organizing principles of the universe.  On the back are seven inlaid stones representing the chakras, Coral, Spiny oyster, Mother of Pearl, Green Chrysocolla, Turquoise, Sodalite and Purple spiny oyster.  These seven stones are worn above the heart and the belief is that the line of gemstones will help open all of the chakras of the owner with the corresponding colors. The length is 1 3/4", and the bail opening is 4mm.
